Two years ago, I started a new school. I was very nervous on my first day. I did not know anyone. At lunch, I sat alone at a small table and ate my sandwich.

A boy named Daniel walked over to me. He smiled and asked if he could sit with me. We talked for an hour. He liked the same music and the same video games. We laughed a lot.

The next day, Daniel introduced me to his friends. They were funny and kind. After school, we went to the park and played football. I scored two goals. Daniel said I was a natural player.

Last summer, our families travelled to the beach together. We swam every day, took silly photos, and made short videos. I learned that a real friend listens, helps, and stays. Daniel is my best friend now, and I am very grateful that he sat with me at lunch.
