The short version
ESL Master is a static website with no user accounts, no logins, no advertising, and no analytics scripts. We don't track you, sell anything to you, or build a profile about you. The only place where you can give us personal information is the contact form, and even there you control exactly what you send.
What's stored on your device
The site uses your browser's localStorage to remember a few preferences locally. This data never leaves your device:
- Your theme choice (light or dark mode).
- Lesson progress markers, so the site can show what you've completed.
- Audio playback-rate preference on listening lessons.
Clearing your browser storage or using private/incognito mode will erase this data. Nothing in localStorage is transmitted back to us.
Cookies
ESL Master itself sets no cookies. Cloudflare, our hosting provider, sets a small number of infrastructure cookies for security and performance (for example, to detect abusive bot traffic). These are documented in Cloudflare's cookie policy .
The contact form
The contact form on /contact is handled by Web3Forms , a third-party form-to-email service. When you submit the form:
- The information you type (typically a name, email address, and message) is sent to Web3Forms, which forwards it to the site owner's email inbox.
- Web3Forms processes the submission according to their privacy policy .
- We don't store your submission in any database. It only lives in the recipient inbox and in Web3Forms' temporary delivery logs.
- If you don't want to use the form, you can email [email protected] directly instead.
Server logs
Cloudflare Pages, our static-hosting provider, records standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent) for security and abuse-prevention purposes. These logs are retained for a limited period under Cloudflare's standard retention policy and are not exported to us or to any third party. We do not run our own analytics on top of this.
Children
This site is intended for learners aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information through the contact form, please email [email protected] and we will delete the message immediately.
Your rights (GDPR / similar)
Because the site doesn't store user data, there is generally nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you have used the contact form and want us to delete the resulting email, send a request to [email protected] and we will remove it from the inbox within 30 days. EU/UK residents may also contact their national data-protection authority if they have unresolved concerns.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be noted on the homepage for a reasonable period.
